Certificate of Evaluation for Random Number Generator & Associated Components (selective component evaluation)

Random number generator

The random number generator (RNG) used to create the multi-player poker hands is a component of the software written by Riptown.com Media for Bodog. The RNG has been evaluated by Gaming Associates. At the time of evaluation the RNG was used for dealing and drawing cards for the poker games:

• Texas Holdem
• Omaha
• Omaha Hi/Lo
• 7-Card Stud
• 7-Card Stud Hi/Lo
• 5-Card Stud

The evaluation comprising statistical testing and code inspection found that:

• The RNG generated results which were uniformly distributed and statistically independent; and
• Cards drawn for the poker games were fair and not predictable

The Bodog, multi-player poker software has been fingerprinted to enable ongoing verification that the RNG in use is identical to the RNG evaluated. The software is verified against the fingerprint regularly.
