NCAA Basketball Betting Top 25 - Washington State Cougars
by Bodog Sportsbook | Feb 18 2008

We are bringing you a preview of the top 25 College basketball teams in the nation (according to the ESPN/USA Today Poll), one a day until Selection Sunday. Today we look at No.19 (Feb. 18 poll),
Washington State Cougars.
Strengths: Defense and coaching. Coach Tony Bennett is making a name for himself in his relatively short head coaching career as a defensive specialist. Bennett learned the family trade from father Dick who was a defensive mastermind.
Senior Kyle Weaver is one of the best defenders in college basketball. Weaver plays the guard position but he’s routinely asked to defend against the best forwards while on defense.
Weaknesses: While they make stops on defense, if the opposition gets the ball in the air it’s going in almost 50 percent of the time. Kyle Weaver is hurting a little, which will force the team to go away from the man-to-man defense and play more zone. Top scorer Derrick Low is very inconsistent; he’ll have a big game but disappear in the next.
