NCAA Basketball Betting Top 25 - Notre Dame Fighting Irish
by Bodog Sportsbook | Feb 20 2008

We are bringing you a preview of the top 25 college basketball teams in the nation (according to the ESPN/USA Today Poll), one a day until Selection Sunday. Today we look at No. 21, the
Notre Dame Fighting Irish.
Strengths: Luke Harangody has developed into one of the top players in the Big East; he’s one of only two averaging a double-double this season. The team is excellent at creating and converting good looks from three-point land. The team owns their home court; the Irish have a 34-game home winning streak going.
Weaknesses: While they’ve shown improvement on the road, Notre Dame has to get better away from South Bend before they can be considered road warriors. The Irish give up a lot of threes, which allows good shooting teams to stay close; this could come back to haunt them when the tournament begins.

They have a big game against No. 23 Louisville but face unranked teams the rest of the way. They are all but assured nothing lower than the No. 4 seed but with a good run they could earn the No. 1 seed for the Big East tournament if Georgetown falters.
