NCAA Basketball Betting Top 25 - Louisville Cardinals
by Bodog Sportsbook | Feb 21 2008

We are bringing you a preview of the top 25 college basketball teams in the nation (according to the current ESPN/USA Today Poll), one a day until Selection Sunday. Today we look at the current No. 23, the
Louisville Cardinals.
Strengths: Coaching: Rick Pitino is the consummate college coach, an excellent motivator who brings out the best in his players. Defense: The Cardinals challenge shots and don’t give up any easy rebounds. Resiliency: Louisville started the season ranked sixth in the polls but a horrible stretch of games dropped them out of the top 25. They’ve come back strong and are tied with Georgetown for the lead in the Big East conference. With a good finish, they are all but assured a high ranking in the NCAA Tournament.
Weaknesses: The Cardinals have no glaring weaknesses, although after David Padgett broke his kneecap earlier in the season the team played poorly and dropped out of the rankings. Another slump can’t be repeated.

Louisville is too good to be ranked this low and when the season is done expect them to be in or close to the top 15.
