Trainer Greg Fox's Slew's Tizzy didn't break his maiden until his first start as a three-year-old.

Became infamous as the longshot who stumbled and lost his rider during the $300,000 Risen Star Stakes (G3) at the Fair Grounds. Finished seventh of eight starters in his next race, the $600,000 Louisiana Derby (G2). His stunning 40-1 upset in the $325,000 Coolmore Lexington Stakes (G2) at Keeneland on April 21 put him in the Kentucky Derby picture. However, he ran in and captured the $300,000 Lone Star Derby (G3) on May 12 instead.

Rider Rafael Bejarano piloted Sunriver to a third-place finish in last year's Belmont Stakes and Andromeda's Hero to a second-place finish in 2005. He is replacing John Velazquez, who was originally committed to ride Slew's Tizzy but has decided to ride Rags to Riches instead.

Slew's Tizzy's post position for the 139th Belmont Stakes was 5. He placed seventh.
