For his first start as a three-year-old, finished second in the $300,000 Risen Star Stakes (G3) at the Fair Grounds. Followed that with a fourth place finish in the $600,000 Louisiana Derby (G2) and a sixth place finish in the $1 million Florida Derby (G1).

Imawildandcrazyguy finished fourth in this year's Kentucky Derby, only half a length behind third-place finisher Curlin.
