Trainer Nick Zito's C P West captured his debut at Saratoga and then finished second to King of the Roxy in the $250,000 Futurity Stakes (G2) at Belmont Park. Finished a well-beaten sixth in the $2 million Breeders' Cup Juvenile (G1) and came out of the race with chips in his ankles.

For his first start as a three-year-old, was beaten by a nose in an allowance race at Gulfstream Park. Finished second again in the $150,000 Withers Stakes (G3).

C P West will be trainer Nick Zito's 14th Preakness runner in 17 years.

C P West placed fourth in this year's Preakness Stakes.
