Trainer Carl Nafzger's Street Sense has never been worse than third in six lifetime starts. Broke his maiden in his second start, at Arlington Park. Third in the $200,000 Arlington-Washington Breeder's Cup Futurity (G3) and the $500,000 Lane's End Breeders' Futurity (G1) at Keeneland, and then won the $2 million Breeders' Cup Juvenile (G1) at Churchill Downs by 10 lengths.

In his first start as a three-year-old, defeated Any Given Saturday by a nose in the $300,000 Tampa Bay Derby (G3). His time of 1:43.11 broke the track record for 1 1/16 miles. Finished second in the $750,000 Toyota Blue Grass Stakes (G1) at Keeneland on April 14, a nose behind Dominican.

Street Sense's post position is 7.

Street Sense placed 1st in the 2007 Kentucky Derby and is expected to compete in the 2007 Preakness Stakes on May 19th.

Last year Street Sense was honored with an Eclipse Award for the outstanding two-year-old male horse.

With graded earnings of $1,482,000, Street Sense is at the top of the graded earnings list for Derby contenders. In fact, he has earned $173,500 more than Scat Daddy, who is second on the list.
