Trainer Darrin Miller's Sedgefield raced three times as a two-year-old, breaking his maiden in his third start going a mile on Polytrack at Turfway Park.

For his first start as a three-year-old, finished second in the $100,000 Tropical Park Derby (G3). Followed that by winning an allowance race at Gulfstream Park. Finished second in both the $100,000 Hallandale Beach Stakes and the $500,000 Lane's End Stakes (G2) before a fourth-place finish in the $150,000 Transylvania Stakes (G3) at Keeneland on April 6.

Sedgefield has raced twice on Polytrack and five times on turf, but never on conventional dirt.

Sedgefield's graded stakes earnings of $127,500 place him in the 20th and final spot on the graded earnings list for Derby contenders.
