Adore The Gold

Trainer Michael Gorham's Adore the Gold broke his maiden in his first start and then won two minor stakes races, the $100,000 Dover Stakes at Delaware Park and the $60,000 H.S. Mitchell Stakes at Laurel Park.

Made his 2007 debut by winning the $150,000 Swale Stakes (G2) at Gulfstream Park by less than a length. Fell back to fourth in the $350,000 Fountain of Youth Stakes (G2) at Gulfstream Park after chasing in second for most of the race. However, was only a length behind the winner, Scat Daddy. Finished eighth in the $1 million Florida Derby (G1) on March 31.

Adore the Gold hasn't returned to the track since the Florida Derby and is definitely off the Kentucky Derby trail.
