Will the Dumbest Team in America Have a New Ring Leader?

Bodog.com Sportsbook, Casino and Poker has released odds on who will be the next head coach of the Oakland Raiders.

On the morning after another crushing loss for the Oakland Raiders, the search for a new head coach has started. With some rather questionable comments in the media, and a season not even comparable to last, Bill Callahan may be on his way out.

“I am surprised that nothing has happened yet with the Raiders coaching staff,” said Rob Gillespie, President of Bodog.com Sportsbook, Casino and Poker. “The Raiders have taken an unbelievable plunge since last season's 11-5 record.”

The list of potential head coaches looks more like a depth chart, with so many rumors swirling regarding coaches this season, the Oakland Raiders franchise will have plenty of options for the right suitor. Topping the list of candidates is former Minnesota Vikings Head Coach Dennis Green at 8/5 ,with Tom Coughlin right behind at 4/1 odds. Some of the long shot coaches include Bill Cowher, and Dave Campo both listed at 20/1.

“It seems like the departure of Coach John Gruden has had a lasting impact on the players within the Raiders' organization,” said Gillespie. “The Raiders are a team full of talent, it is just a matter of finding the right person to extract the old winning spirit from them.”
