Which Driver will Tiger be Swinging?

Bodog Sportsbook, Casino and Poker is the first sportsbook to offer odds on the driver selection of the number one golfer in the world for next season.

The first Official PGA Tour event of 2004 is scheduled for January 8-11 in Kapalua, HI. This is an opportunity for those diehard golf fans to keep the season rolling right through the winter.

“With all the media hype last year swirling around Tiger’s driver selection from tour stop to tour stop, this is a fantastic opportunity for the weekend duffer to feel like they are a part of the Skins Game,” said Rob Gillespie, President of Bodog Sportsbook, Casino and Poker. “Many people have already thrown their hats into the ring as to the superstars club selection, why not allow the wagering public the same opportunity?”

Having switched drivers on several occasions during the 2003 season, players have been given several options to wager on. The drivers which are on the boards include the Nike Ignite, Titleist 975K, Titleist 975E, and Field. With field being the top pick at 2/1, the Nike Ignite is a close second at 7/5.

“Tiger has been one of the most watched athletes this century, breaking records many thought to be untouchable,” said Gillespie. “The equipment he chooses to use will have an impact over many golfer's spring shopping lists.”

While Tiger had a sub par year by his standards, the equipment, most notably his driver, will be in the forefront of many conversations leading up to the start of the 2004 Tour. “Golf is rapidly becoming one of the most innovative sports, in terms of the equipment, and Tiger is the game's head man,” said Gillespie.
