Bodog Sportsbook, Casino and Poker in a continued effort to be the leader in the sportsbook industry, will be using a True Dime Line for the entire 2003 Major League Baseball Season.
"We're constantly looking at ways to improve our product offering and give everyday players another reason to play with us," said Bodog President, Rob Gillespie. "We felt that being one of the few books that offered a true dime line would be a strong reflection of that ideal."
Last season Bodog offered bettors a Graduated Dime Line, but decided to nix that idea this year in favor of the more player-friendly True Dime Line.
Gillespie credits constant communication and interaction with Bodog's player base as the reason behind the change.
"We surveyed a number of our players, and a number of bettors who weren't playing with us and asked them what we could do to make our baseball product better," said Gillespie. "The response was resounding and the True Dime Line is what they wanted."
An example of the True Dime Line in action from today's games would be the Atlanta Braves vs. the Florida Marlins matchup.
Atlanta Braves -105
Florida Marlins -105
"In essence, this makes betting on baseball a better deal for the everyday player than, say football which has the standard -110 line," said Gillespie.
