Nate McClouth belted a home run in the ninth inning to propel the Pittsburgh Pirates to a 7-6 win over the Chicago Cubs Saturday afternoon and evened the series at Wrigley Field.
Pittsburgh won the game as +220 underdogs, while the 13 runs made it OVER the posted over/under (9).
McClouth finished 3-for-5 at the plate with three RBIs for the Pirates. Damaso Marte tossed a scoreless inning and was given credit for the win, and Matt Capps threw the ninth for his 10th save.
Alfonso Soriano belted two home runs and went 5-for-5 at the plate with three RBIs for the Cubs. Carlos Marmol gave up the home run to McClouth and was tagged with the loss.
