Braves down Astros in opener

The Atlanta Braves scored a 6-2 victory over the Houston Astros in the opener of a three-game series at Turner Field.

Atlanta won the game as -180 favorites, but the eight runs went UNDER the posted over/under (8.5).

Kelly Johnson belted a two-run homer to lead the Braves. Tim Hudson went seven innings to earn his ninth win, allowing one run with six strikeouts.

Lance Berkman went 2-for-4 at the plate for the Astros with one RBI. Brian Moehler suffered the loss after giving up five runs off six hits in six innings of work.
